How can we help?

Getting started

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you scan a QR code and your phone downloads the mobile plan.

Does my phone support eSIM?

Most iPhones from the XS/XR onward, recent Google Pixels and many Samsung Galaxy phones support eSIM. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Check our compatibility list to be sure.

When should I install it?

Install it a day or two before you travel, while you're on Wi-Fi. Most plans only start counting days once the eSIM connects to a network at your destination — check the plan details.

Can I keep my normal SIM?

Yes. Your eSIM sits alongside your normal SIM. Use the eSIM for data abroad and keep your usual SIM on for calls and texts if you want.

Can I use WhatsApp?

Yes. WhatsApp is tied to your phone number, not your data connection, so you keep your usual WhatsApp number while using eSIM data. Local rules in some countries may limit calls in certain apps.

When does my data plan start?

It depends on the plan. Most start when the eSIM first connects to a supported network at your destination. The exact rule is shown in each plan's details before you buy.

Using your eSIM

Do I need to turn on Data Roaming?

Usually yes — travel eSIMs connect as roaming, so turn on Data Roaming for the eSIM line. You won't be charged roaming by your home carrier as long as your home SIM's mobile data is off.

Can I use hotspot?

On plans marked “Hotspot” you can share your connection. Each plan card shows whether hotspot is supported before you buy.

What does “unlimited” mean?

Unlimited plans give you a set amount of high-speed data (for example 5 GB per day). After that you stay online at a reduced speed shown on the plan, like 1 Mbps. We always show both numbers.

Does the eSIM include a phone number?

Most travel eSIMs are data-only. Calls and SMS are shown on each plan only when included.

Can I top up?

If you run out, you can buy another plan for the same destination. Top-ups on the same eSIM depend on the provider.

Orders & refunds

I didn't receive my eSIM email.

Your QR code is shown on screen right after payment. Check your spam folder, or open your order page and tap “Email this eSIM” to resend it. Still stuck? Contact us with your order number.

Can I get a refund?

If your eSIM hasn't been installed or activated, you can usually request a refund. See our refund policy for the full rules.

Can I move my eSIM to a new phone?

Often no — many eSIMs can only be installed once. Don't delete an eSIM from your phone until your trip is over.
